Start on the balcony with coffee and the ocean in front of you. When conditions are right, catch a few waves before breakfast. The house is just up the stairs.
Nowhere else to be.
A dip in the pool. A cold coconut. Drinks passed through the poolside bar window. Take your time, then gather your people for a Puerto Rican dinner.
Stay for the last light.
Head to the rooftop for sunset. Settle around the fire as the stars come out, with the Atlantic still in earshot and everyone you came with close by.
No resort schedule. No lobby. No elevator down to the beach. Just your people, your house, and Puerto Rico outside the door.

How does pricing work?
Every reservation includes the entire villa and all four bedrooms. The base nightly rate covers up to six registered guests. A nightly fee applies to each guest beyond six, up to a maximum of 12. Enter your dates and total guest count to see the complete price before booking.
What is the neighborhood like?
Arenas Negra is a private home in a quiet coastal neighborhood in Barceloneta, with local support from Ramon and Juan. A bodega and bakery are a short walk away. You can settle into the neighborhood at your own pace.
Do we need a car?
A rental car is strongly recommended. The house is about 50 minutes from SJU; full groceries, Walmart, and restaurants along PR-681 are about 10–15 minutes away.
What should we know about the beach and pool?
The Atlantic beach changes with weather and ocean conditions. Ask us about conditions and nearby swimming options, including Playa Palmas Altas, about five minutes away. The sand varies from dark brown to charcoal. The private pool is not fenced or gated; children need direct adult supervision.
Can we mark a special occasion?
Birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, and small vow-renewal moments can be part of a quiet stay. Please ask us in advance about celebrations with registered overnight guests only. Outside attendees, vendors, amplified sound, event rentals, staging, and additional parking needs are not permitted. No parties or hosted events.
What are the house guidelines?
The villa accommodates up to 12 registered guests. No pets, outside visitors, unregistered guests, or late-night noise. These guidelines help everyone enjoy the quiet coastal setting.
